Know Spanish Due To Importance
Motivation is an important element in the effort to learn spanish online. Learning any new language requires a great deal of mental concentration and commitment. Without adequate motivation many efforts sink into the sand like disappearing water.
The best motivation is perhaps necessity. South Americans, faced with powerful conquerors probably needed no lessons. It was a case of learn or suffer the consequences. However, when a language is learned under such circumstances the chances are that accent and grammar may be limited, and errors embedded permanently in the user’s performance. Now, vocabulary audio can be used to learn a new language.
Children who are required to learn a second language at school but have no interest in it are good example of how instruction without interest is utterly futile. Many learners spend twelve years receiving instructions and are utterly incompetent at the end of it. Teaching is as futile as knocking a head against a stone wall. However, if a student is interested in learning, perhaps because he has an interest in playing the classical guitar, he will learn naturally.
An absolute essential in language acquisition is a positive attitude. This is more than a passing interest but involves positive emotions associated with the language. Attitude may be improved by knowledge. As new words and rules are learned and as competence grows there should be a snowball effect as one word leads to another, if interest is maintained.
Spanish is the third most used language in the world after Mandarin and English. It is the official language in many South American countries and is widely spoken in the USA and Canada. Until quite recently it was an official language in the Philippines but has lost some ground there. A person who knows Spanish is in a position to communicate with a large section of the world’s population.
The original inhabitants of Spain spoke an indigenous tongue of Celtic origins. When the Romans invaded they introduced Latin and this mixed with the indigenous expressions of traders and workers to become known as ‘vulgar Latin’. The Moors from North Africa later conquered the area and introduced Arabic influences that are still present. However, when the Moors were repulsed the influence of Latin on this romantic language was asserted yet again.
During the colonial era the language was taken to South America, to countries that are now Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and others. It was the language spoken by powerful conquerors and therefore quickly replaced the indigenous languages and was accepted in many countries as the official language of the country. In a similar way it was for a time the official language of the Philippines but has lost influence in that country within the decline in political and economic power.
There are many varieties and dialects of the language, which can all be reviewed with language courses. This is true of most widespread languages with rich cultural and historical roots. The dominant dialects are probably Castilian and Andalusian. Linguists will always refuse to accept that one is better than another. An individual is entitled to use the version that suits him or her best and can be used effectively. A person who wishes to learn spanish online and has a choice would find the Castilian dialect widely known.
